Við Spilum Endalaust - Sigur Ros
Sigur Ros - the band that captures every emotion without you understanding a word. When you listen to them they just make you feel on top of the world. This is my favourite song off their new album. You have to play it loud and then it does the rest. I guarantee after it you will feel aleviated from whatever ails you or even happier if life is perfect for you already! This band is amazing. It is no wonder why their songs pop up in all sorts of movies. It is easy to make a scene emotionally captivating when you have Sigur Ros playing. It almost seems like cheaping for directors. This album is amazing needless to say. I would buy it if I were you. Any music lover can appreciate this beautiful music. The album is entitled Með suð í eyrum…it means something but I have yet to wiki it haha. ENJOY! I will repeatedly.

I can’t believe I have now spent 4 months living in a foreign country. What a great experience it has been. There is this weird feeling coming over me right now. I am so excited to come home yet I know I will miss this place. It has been my home and I have gotten into such a routine here. I have gotten to do my own thing all the time. I have gotten used to living in a completely different culture and now I will be coming home to something that will seem so different to me when it used to be so normal. It is a hard feeling to interpret in words. Needless to say I have learned a great deal about Ukraine, its people and their customs and culture. It will be nice to now know how people in a different part of the world live. I will never forget this experience and I can’t wait to tell you all about. I have packed most of my bags and tonight we are going to clean the place up and go out to the Canadian Embassy for our last pub night there and then students at our school are having a party to celebrate the end of exams. It should be a very fun night! The morning will probably be very rough!

I will be leaving early Sunday morning…5:30 AM and I arrive in Toronto around noon. I honestly can’t believe I am coming home. It is surreal. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and the WINTER that has hit all of Canada.

I got American IV by Johnny Cash and this is a cover of a song originally by the Eagles and it is superb. Johnny Cash has such a sincere and beautiful voice (although I think for first time Johnny Cashees it is an acquired musical taste, but he is a legend and will forever have his work remembered). It is amazing I loved it instantly. I like it more than the original and I LOVE the original. There is also a beautiful cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water too which is, I am tempted to say, better than the original by Simon and Garfunkel (sp?).
By the way…Sorry for no posts lately. I have been uber busy! MATH MATH MATH!!! It has consumed my life. One more week and I will be done. This time next week I will be home in Canada enjoying supper with my loved ones. I hope all of you are happy and well. I am going to bed now.

This is an amazing song and it is off the Streets new album Everything is Borrowed. This album is really really good. Some other amazing tracks on it are Everything is Borrowed and The Escapist.
I have a lot going on right now so my posts won’t be too frequent. I have a lot of really tough exams coming up and also I am getting ready to come back home to Canada on Dec 21st. I will try to post a song a day still. I will really get going soon enough with this blog. Try to do some special things! I am just about to go to bed after a very dismal day in Ukraine. It was cold and rainy here. Really miserable weather. I did a lot of school work today and got a lot done so I am really happy about that. I also got to go skating today. Turns out not a lot of Ukrainians know how to skate well. I thought they would have but I guess I was mistaken. It was my first time on the ice in about 3 years. I wasn’t too rusty and it was a lot of fun. I also got a lot of much needed excercise. I should sleep like a baby tonight! I hope you guys enjoy the song. The harmonica part in this song is one of my favourite harmonica solos ever. Anyone have any favourite harmonica songs? top 3/5/10 lists? Any list? Sleep well.

This is off their new album Day and Age. The sound is pretty big in the chorus and lots of horns. I like it. A good song to play really loud. The album is pretty good…I haven’t given it a full listen yet though. Spaceman and Human are two other good tracks on the album

Tis the season to watch Home Alone 1 and 2 (and don’t even dare think 3 deserves a watch…I assure you it does not!). I just watched Home Alone 1 last night and it was everything I needed…but I am curious as to why he just call the police in the beginning. I guess if he did we wouldn’t have seen things like: Harry (Joe Pesci) getting beat by Merv with a crowbar, Merv getting shot in the face by a pellet gun, and genuinely great acting by Kevin (Macauly Caulkin).

I have to give in. It is time I get off my week long vacation from school work. It has really piled up. It is such dry material. I am reading about propensity score matching and disconuity regressions. Then I am reading up on some other Econometrics. Then to put the cherry on the cake I get to read some advanced micro written using math along with the odd word here and there to explain the ridiculous looking math.
It is hard to get motivated because I know I will never use this stuff in the real world. I guess you need that piece of paper that says you have learned a bunch of absurd theoretical/useless things that will bring no value to any future job. I WILL GET THAT PIECE OF PAPER.
Alright I am off for a day of derivatives, greek letters, and STATA.
